I love teaching 4th grade, but then again I loved teaching Kindergarten too. So, I guess you could say I just plain old love teaching! Each day is something different but yet the same. You teach the same subject matter year after year but how your students respond is a daily surprise. It's so much fun to watch each child grow in their learning and even in their socializing throughout the year.
I am originally from Elgin, ND ( although I have lived in every part of ND except the northeast as my dad was a teacher, so we moved around periodically.) My college years were spent at North Dakota State University (3 years- receiving my Early Childhood degree) and participating in a Professional Fourth Year Program at Moorhead State Univeristy, MN ( receiving my Elementary Education degree.)
I have spent twenty some years in teaching, most of them in the Glen Ullin School...one year as a part time 3rd grade teacher, many years as a Kindergarten teacher and the last 10 years as a fourth grade teacher.
My husband Bob and I have two grown children: Tyler and Samantha. We are extremely proud of our children. Tyler is a teacher in Bismarck and Samantha works at a bank and is also going back to school to get her 4 year degree in Business Management. They are both married and live in Bismarck which is a good thing as they have blessed us with 4 wonderful grandchildren. We get alot of "babysitting the kids" time.
I am a very LUCKY person as I have a wonderful job I enjoy and a super family.
